Tonatiuh grew up listening to stories of people in his mother’s beauty salon as they took the service. As a child, while playing with his toys, he made up his own story, which led to his fascination with stories from TV series and films.
Also, his struggle with bullying and eagerness for acceptance as a means of survival propelled him to an acting career. After graduating from West Covina High School in 2011, he enrolled at the University of Southern California and obtained a degree in theater and film in 2014.
