Eva Evans Obituary: What Was The Cause Of Her Death?
On April 21, 2024, the news of Eva Evans’ death came after her sister, Lila Joy, made a heartfelt Instagram post that her family received the news of her demise “yesterday,” i.e., on April 20. She was 29 years old.
In the IG post, she captioned, ” “Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to. Yesterday, my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died [..].”
Also, Lila notified that her family, as a tribute, planned a “celebration of Eva” on April 23 in lower Manhattan.
The immediate cause of her death was not out. However, on discussion platforms like Reddit, many who proclaim to be close with Eva commented that she committed suicide.
Her last Instagram post was on April 17, 2024, and it seemed to be in an NYC subway. Eva had nearly 30K followers on Instagram (@itsevaevans) and a fan following of over 306K on her TikTok (@itsevaevans). She was the creator of the five-episode series Club Rat.
She was preceded by her late father, Matt Baumgardner (b. February 5, 1955), an American contemporary artist who died of suicide on November 20, 2018, at 63.
According to an article in Dontmindme.org, Evans told her story of her dad, who shot himself, and her struggle with constant anxiety as her father threatened suicide when she was seven. She released a letter and begged those with trauma or anxiety to reach out and get help.

Eva Evans Broke Up With Boyfriend A Month Before Death
On March 5, 2024, Eva took to TikTok to announce that she and her boyfriend broke up after dating for one and a half years. While Evans didn’t address the details of their relationship or her boyfriend’s name, she mentioned that their chemistry was cute at first but turned out ugly at the end and mentioned being “treated like garbage.”
According to her other TikTok videos, her boyfriend cheated, and she dissed him with a video titled “He did lol,” referencing what she would do if her beau cheated on her.
Moreover, several of Evan’s videos followed, in which she mentioned herself as “single” and used hashtags like #cheater, #breakup, and #selfcare.
It’s not the first time she had to deal with relationship issues. On February 22, 2024, she shared her ‘most destructive relationship’ with her pathologically lying high school boyfriend.
As mentioned, Eva’s then-beau faked many things, including heroin addiction, epilepsy, ODS, and brain tumor. Also, he lied that he had a college scholarship for hockey- funnily, he pretended to be a hockey coach and emailed her.

Evans became the first to reveal her encounter with a man who used a fake identity as “Kyle Deschanel” to date and scam ladies. He identified himself as a Rothschild heir and an agent for the Saudi government.
The real identity of that man was Aryeh Dodelson, a divorcee with a child and a wife in New Jersey.
In her TikTok video of June 18, 2023, Eva shared her experience dating a scammer who owed a lot of money to people. As reported, Eva and Kyle (real name: Aryeh) dated for four months before she found out the truth.
Later, several ladies came forward via TikTok about dating a scammer, who eventually turned out to be the same man.

Who Are Eva Evans’ Parents?
Eva Evans, who used her maiden name “Evans” instead of her father’s last name “Baumgardner,” was born to Heather Evans and Matt Baumgardner. As reported, her dad and mom married in 2008 during the financial crisis; at that time, TikTok was 14.
After her mother lost her job, she took Eva and her sister out of school, moved to Bequia, an island in the Grenadines, and lived there for two years.
Her late father, Matt, graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with an MFA in 1982. He worked in New York City’s art scene for more than three decades before he committed suicide in 2018.
