Michael Corleone Blanco Is Only Alive Son Of Griselda Blanco
Michael is the youngest of four sons and the only surviving son of the late notorious drug lord Griselda. His name ‘Michael Corleone’ came as an inspiration from Al Pacino’s character in the 1972 film The Godfather.
Blanco was born from his mother’s third marriage to Darío Sepúlveda. There’ve been reports that Griselda arranged for the assassination of her third husband, but she never admitted the charges.
Given the reports that after arguments in business, she orchestrated the execution of her former two husbands (Carlos Trujillo and Alberto Bravo), she got the nickname “The Black Widow.”
Michael had three older half-brothers, Dixon, Uber, and Osvaldo, from his mom’s first marriage to Carlos Trujillo. However, all of them died as a result of enemy targets after their mother got in prison.

What Happened To Griselda’s Other Sons?
Michael’s mother, Griselda, was arrested on February 17, 1985, from her home in California. As a result, he went living with his relatives and legal guardians during his childhood and teenage years.
On the other hand, his elder half-brothers Dixon, Uber, and Osvaldo handled their mother’s drug cartel business. Two years after Griselda’s incarceration, her three eldest sons faced an arrest before parole in 1992.
The same year, in October 1992, one of her sons, Osvaldo, was ‘killed’ outside the Colombia nightclub. In his interviews, Michael speaks of his brother, Osvaldo’s assassination, who went by the name Chicky,

An article in the Miami New Times in 2008 reported that the first three sons of Griselda were ‘murdered,’ while the exact details remain a mystery.
The Netflix mini-series Griselda hints at the real-life death of the three Blanco brothers.
In the final episode of the series, an intelligence agent, June Hawkins (actress Juliana Aidén Martinez), visits Griselda in prison and informs her about the death of three of her four sons. June says,
“Dixon was shot while he was walking to his car, Ozzy was in a crowded nightclub. Uber was shot in Colombia was he was making a drug deal.”
As many online sources cite, the death of her sons was retribution to Blanco from rival drug lords.

Born on August 5, 1975, in Medellin, Colombia, Blanco is of Colombian nationality. As of February 2024, Michael is 48 years old; his 49th birthday falls on August 5 this year. He has a height of 5 feet 10 inches (1.77 m).

Once Arrested On The Charge Of Drug Trafficking
In May 2012, Michael Corleone had a run-in with the law after he faced an arrest on drug-related charges. He faced two felony counts of cocaine trafficking and conspiracy to trafficking cocaine.
As reported, he tried to buy five kilograms of the drug from an undercover detective using $10,000 in cash, a motorcycle, and a diamond necklace and pendant.
However, Blanco did not plead guilty to the charges. As a result, he was under house arrest.

Mother’s Death And Backing Out From Drug Business
On September 3, 2012, then-69 years old, Griselda was assassinated Medellín when she and her pregnant daughter-in-law went to the Cardiso butcher shop on the corner of 29th Street.
An assassin came in a motorbike and shot her twice, which was a reflection of her style of assassination during her heydays in the 1970s and 1980s.
After the death of his mother, Michael came clean and left his family business. According to his 2019 interview with Fox News, recalling the death of his brother & mother, he said,
“I don’t want to be in this life anymore because I don’t want my kids to have this generational tie, the generational curse that I was born into. I guess that right there, the pain that I felt that day made me understand that all the money in the world wasn’t worth it.”

During an interview with The Mirror in 2020, there were reports that Michael lived in Miami, where he presumably still resides, with his wife and kids.
He is an entrepreneur and reality TV star who co-founded a clothing line, Pure Blanco, labeled “a billionaire cartel lifestyle brand,” with his longtime friend Michael “Majix” Yuen. The name of his brand is a tribute to his mother.

Blanco And His Wife Filed Lawsuit Against Netflix Series ‘Griselda’

However, the youngest and living son of Griselda Blanco was not happy with the series.
So, Michael and his wife filed a lawsuit against Netflix on January 17, 2024, ahead of the premier. The complaint shows creators used unauthorized likenesses of Griselda’s children without compensation.
