Donovan’s parents are Bill Clingan and the late Stacey Porrini Clingan. His towering height of 7’2″ comes from his dad and mom, who were 6′ 5″ and 6’4″ tall, respectively.
His father, Bill, is an electric field operations supervisor at Eversource Energy (October 2004- present). The 2024 NBA draft prospect’s mother worked as an elementary school teacher in Bristol, Connecticut, until her death.
Clingan’s mom, who played basketball in high school and college, inspired her son to play hoops. She was a three-sport athlete at high school (Bristol Central) and became a basketball star at the University of Maine in the 1990s.
