Long answer short- No! Ryan and Frank Field are not related. Even if they have the shared last name “Field,” they have no familial connection or distant roots joining them.

As for the late British politician Frank Field, he was born on July 16, 1942, in Edmonton, Middlesex. From 1979 to 2019, he served as the MP from Birkenhead for 40 years, between which he became the Minister of Welfare Reform (1997-98).

The former Labour minister, Frank, never married or had any children- his two brothers survive him.

Cause Of Frank Field’s Death

In October 2021, Field revealed that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer through his note by Molly Meacher as he backed a law that would allow assisted dying. The bill would allow terminally ill adults in England and Wales to seek support to end their lives.

In his interview with The Guardian in January 2023, Frank revealed that he had been battling prostate cancer for 10 years. After a year, his family confirmed that he died on April 23, 2024, at the age of 81, following a period of illness.

Viewers mistaking Ryan’s familial roots with other individuals is not new for him. The Michigan State University graduate was alleged to be a relative of now-late meteorologist Frank Field (b. March 30, 1923 – d. July 1, 2023). However, it turned out to be just an assumption.

In addition to that, there were speculations if the former Fox Sports host was related by any means to Storm Field, the son of Frank Field (who is mentioned earlier). Storm is a retired television meteorologist with work portfolios in WABC-TV, WCBS-TV, and WWOR-TV.

In response, Ryan took to Facebook to clarify that he and Storm Field were unrelated. Posting a picture of the retired meteorologist, he wrote, “He’s an Eyewitness News Legend, but despite the fact we share the same last name, I’m sorry to report I am not related to Storm Field.”

Field is the only son of three children of his parents, Kenneth Field and Diane Field. His dad and mom have been married since October 25, 1974.

Ryan’s father, Kenneth, is the owner and founder of Field Management and Marketing (September 2011- present). Formerly, he had a couple of corporate executive roles, such as:

Ryan Has Two Sisters: Who Are They?

Ryan Field grew up with his two younger sisters, Nicole Given and Trisha Schaller; both are married. Nicole resides in Troy, Michigan, with her husband, Brandon Given, and shares three children (two sons and a daughter).

According to Nicole’s LinkedIn profile, she is a literacy specialist at Troy School District (June 2018- present). Earlier, she was a kindergarten teacher (2002-2018). She completed her MA in Elementary Education & Reading/Language Arts from Oakland University in 2004.
